Atlas ("Atlas", "we", "us") is an AI-powered fitness and nutrition coach. To coach you well, the app works with personal health and fitness data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your data is used to power your coaching, we never sell it, and you can delete it at any time.
Atlas coaching is powered by AI. To provide features like plan generation, coach chat, and meal-photo analysis, relevant data (for example your logs, goals, wearable metrics, or a meal photo) is processed by AI service providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic acting on our behalf. This data is used to generate your coaching output — not to build advertising profiles.
Connecting a wearable or fitness service is always your choice and requires your explicit authorization through that provider's consent flow. Data received from connected services (including WHOOP, Oura, Strava, and Apple Health) is used solely to power your coaching — readiness, recovery, sleep insight, training load, and plan adjustments. It is never sold or used for advertising.
You can disconnect a service at any time in the app, and you can also revoke Atlas's access from the provider's own settings. When you delete your Atlas account, our stored copies of that data are deleted too.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run Atlas — cloud hosting and storage, AI providers as described above, payment processors (such as Stripe and Apple), and push-notification delivery — and only to the extent needed to provide the service. These providers are bound to process data on our instructions. If you accept ad cookies on our website, Meta also receives the website data described under "Website cookies and ad measurement" below. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Our website (myatlasfitness.com) can use the Meta Pixel, a cookie and script from Meta Platforms, to measure which of our ads bring people to Atlas. It runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and it only ever reports our public pages (the homepage and marketing pages, the sign-up questions, sign-in and checkout), never the app's own screens such as your workouts, nutrition, sleep or progress. When it runs, Meta receives the addresses of those public pages you view, your browser and device details and IP address, and whether you created an account or started or completed a subscription, including the plan price. It does not receive your answers to the sign-up questions, your training, nutrition, health or wearable data, or your coach conversations. You can decline in the banner; to change an earlier choice, clear this site's cookies and data in your browser and you will be asked again.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active so your coach retains history and context. You can delete your account from the app's account settings or by contacting us; deletion removes your personal data from our production systems, with residual copies in backups purged on a rolling basis.
Data is encrypted in transit, access tokens for connected services are stored server-side, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat health data with the care it deserves.
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, use the in-app account settings or contact us at the address below.
Atlas is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
